Discover Scuba Diving Program
Who should take the Discover Scuba Diving Program?
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. To sign up for a Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
How we conduct the Discover Scuba Diver Program
The typical day of Discover Scuba Diving with Halocline Divers starts with a pick up from your hotel in Playa Del Carmen or Tulum area, usually between 8am - 10 am. The next stop will be picking up food, snacks and drinks. This will take place at a location where you can use an ATM or buy things which are not included.
One more stop at our trusted filling station in the Mayan jungle where we pick up the scuba tanks necessary for the diving. We give our clients the chance to see the place that fills the tanks and the air you later will be breathing.
The preferred location for your Discover Scuba experience is Casa Cenote, which you can see on the picture on top of this page. The reason we choose this particular cenote is that the place has the perfect safe conditions for your very first experience breathing under water.
Before your dive we will explain everything you need to know about the equipment you will be using and the few skills we will practice in extremely shallow water before the actual dive starts.
The duration of your dive will be approximately 60 minutes depending on your air consumption and the average duration of the entire experience will be four hours for a one tank dive and five hours for two tanks.
After the dives we will bring you back to your accommodation.
